Our understanding is that there are many paths toward truth & wisdom, & therefore we turn to the sacred texts of all the world’s religions for guidance. Our focus is not on what will happen when we die, but on how we can live with integrity & love.

Our congregation is vibrant and diverse, and welcomes everyone, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people, as full participants in the life of the church.

Our vision is to be an expression of God at work in the world. We are a place in which ALL people of faith can be together, to worship God and to support each other. We are a caring, warm, welcoming and committed family. This vision is carried out through our many active ministries. Also, we reach out to the community through our ministries with the Franklin Interfaith Council, Franklin Food Pantry, Taunton River Deanery, Scouts, and the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. We are a community in the best sense of the word. We are a family of Christians who gather to worship God. We endeavor to provide a spiritual space where people’s faith grows and is strengthened.

Facebook – Blackstone Valley Stake

We believe that God is our Heavenly Father, that He loves us and wants us to return to Him, and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer. Through His Atonement we will be resurrected and can return to live with God if we keep His commandments. The Holy Ghost is given to us to help us recognize truth and bring us to Christ. We believe that God reveals His will through prophets today, just as He did anciently. We believe that our life has a sacred purpose, that families are central to our Heavenly Father’s plan for us, and that through serving others we can experience joy and draw closer to God.

The Franklin UMC is a welcoming congregation with a diversity of ages, vocations, interests, and journeys. We are a people called to be in ministry with one another in the name of Christ. We affirm our diversity as a strength and have chosen to make our journey together.

We believe the Church should be a place of nurture and growth that enables persons to live out their faith most effectively as disciples of Jesus Christ; that calls others to become disciples; and reaches out to the community and the world with our gifts and service.

New England Chapel

Sunday Worship Services at 9am & 10:30am.

New England Chapel is a Christian congregation committed to helping people encounter God in ways that are thoughtful, authentic, and life-giving.  We seek to be a place where questions are welcomed, Scripture is explored with care, and faith expresses itself in love for our neighbors across Franklin and the surrounding towns.  Our ministries range from vibrant worship gatherings and classes for growing disciples to practical opportunities for service, friendship, and community engagement.

NEC is a church for people who have given up on church, but not on God.  Whether someone is returning after a long time, exploring faith for the first time, or looking for deeper grounding, we aim to offer hospitality, intellectual seriousness, and hope rooted in the way of Jesus.
